Elvis Presley and Harold Loyd

Harold LoydHarold Loyd : After Elvis came home he and all the gang were sitting in the den when I walked in. When Elvis saw me he laughed and said 'Get the hell out of here Harold'! I said OK, in just a minute. I took care of my business and on my way out Elvis said it again, I don't know how I did it without cracking up, but I turned and faced him, picked up my cap, turned it around side-ways and made this ugly face. He threw up both hands and they all started laughing their heads off. Elvis said 'I'll see you later'. When I was going through the door I heard Elvis say 'that is the ugliest damned thing I've ever seen'!

A friend of mine took this picture of me and had it blown up to an 8x10, framed it and gave it to Elvis on stage in Las Vages in Decenber 1975. Elvis took one look at it and cracked up again. He showed it to all the group and they also was cracking up. After they had a good laugh he showed it to the fans near the stage. I was told he put the picture on top of the piano and every few minutes during the show he would go over, pick it up and start laughing.

My friend said she ran in to one of Elvis' companions the next night and asked him if he thrown it away? He said :hell no! Thats the first thing you see when you walk into his room. He had it on a table facing the door.

The afternoon show footage is wonderful and electrifying : Here is Elvis in his prime rocking and rolling in front of 11.000 people. Highly recommended.
